Why is my Kia Sportage experiencing engine stalling?

My Kia Sportage has recently started stalling while driving at random times. It's a manual transmission and the engine seems to completely shut off without warning. What could be causing this issue?

It's possible that your Kia Sportage's fuel pump is malfunctioning. This could be causing a lack of fuel flow to the engine, resulting in stalling. I would recommend getting it checked and possibly replaced by a mechanic.

Another potential cause could be a dirty or clogged air filter. This can restrict air flow to the engine and cause stalling. Try changing the air filter and see if that helps.

If your Kia Sportage has a faulty ignition switch, it could also be causing engine stalling. This can be a safety hazard, so I would suggest taking it to a dealership to get it checked and potentially replaced under warranty.

In some cases, using low quality or contaminated fuel can also lead to engine stalling. Make sure you are using high quality fuel and if the issue persists, consider getting the fuel system cleaned.
