Why does my Kia Stonic make a strange noise when I turn the steering wheel?

I recently noticed that my Kia Stonic makes a strange noise when I turn the steering wheel. It seems to be coming from the front of the car and only happens when I turn the wheel to the left. What could be causing this and is it something I should be concerned about?

It is likely that the noise is coming from the power steering system. This could be caused by low power steering fluid or a malfunctioning power steering pump. It is important to have this checked by a mechanic as soon as possible to avoid any potential damage to the steering system.

I had a similar issue with my Kia Stonic and it turned out to be a loose screw in the wheel well. Make sure to check all the screws and bolts in the front of your car and tighten them if necessary.

If the noise is accompanied by a feeling of stiffness or difficulty in steering, it could be a problem with the steering column. In this case, it is best to take your car to a Kia dealership for a proper inspection and potential repair.

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a worn out steering belt. I recommend getting it replaced as soon as possible to avoid any potential safety hazards while driving.
