Why does my Kia Soul have a shaky steering wheel?

I noticed that my Kia Soul's steering wheel shakes when I drive on the highway. I've checked the tire pressure and alignment, but everything seems fine. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Hi Samantha, it's common for older Kia Souls to develop a shaky steering wheel due to worn out suspension components. I recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic to get the suspension checked and potentially replaced.

Samantha, have you recently hit any bumps or potholes while driving? It's possible that your Kia Soul's ball joints or tie rod ends have become damaged and need to be replaced. Get it checked out by a mechanic as soon as possible to avoid further damage.

Hi Samantha, another possible cause of a shaky steering wheel in your Kia Soul could be a warped brake rotor. If you feel a pulsating sensation when braking, this could be the culprit. Have a mechanic check the brakes and potentially replace the rotors.

Samantha, do you notice the shaking sensation mainly when you apply the brakes? This could be an indication that your Kia Soul's brake calipers are sticking, causing uneven braking on the wheels. Have them inspected and potentially replaced by a mechanic.
