What does the 'S' mode do in a Kia Picanto?

I'm new to driving a Kia Picanto and noticed that it has an 'S' mode on the gear shift. Can you explain what this mode is used for and when I should use it?

The 'S' mode stands for 'sport' mode and is designed for a more dynamic driving experience. It allows for quicker gear changes and higher RPMs for a more responsive and engaging ride. You can use this mode when driving on hilly terrain or when you want a more spirited driving experience.

Using the 'S' mode can also improve fuel efficiency as it allows the engine to operate at lower RPMs. However, I would recommend using it sparingly as it may increase wear and tear on the engine over time.

If you're not used to driving a Kia Picanto, I would suggest sticking to the 'D' mode for everyday driving. Once you're more familiar with the car, you can experiment with the 'S' mode and see how it affects your driving experience.
