The Kia Niro's regenerative braking system not working properly

I noticed that my Kia Niro's regenerative braking system is not working properly. It doesn't regenerate as much energy as it used to and it feels like the brakes are getting less responsive. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

Hi Samantha, the issue you are experiencing could be due to a malfunctioning regenerative braking system. I recommend taking your Kia Niro to a certified mechanic for a diagnostic test. They will be able to identify the root cause of the problem and provide a proper fix.

Hi Samantha, have you recently taken your Kia Niro for a brake pad replacement? If so, it's possible that the regenerative braking system was not properly calibrated after the replacement. It's best to bring it back to the mechanic who performed the replacement for a re-calibration.

Hi Samantha, make sure you are not driving with your foot on the brake pedal as this can prevent the regenerative braking system from engaging. It's also important to note that the system works best when the battery is not fully charged, so if you've been driving for a while without using the brake, it may not work as effectively.
