How to calibrate the steering wheel in my Kia Soul?

I recently bought a Kia Soul and noticed that the steering wheel is slightly off center. How do I go about calibrating it to ensure it's properly aligned? Is this something I can do myself or do I need to take it to a mechanic?

You can calibrate the steering wheel yourself by following these steps: first, park your car on a flat surface and ensure the wheels are straight. Then, locate the steering wheel adjustment lever and loosen it. Next, turn the steering wheel to the desired center position and tighten the lever. Finally, take your car for a test drive to ensure everything feels right. If you're not comfortable doing this yourself, it's always best to consult a mechanic.

I had this same issue with my Kia Soul and was able to fix it by following these steps: first, make sure your wheels are straight and the car is on a flat surface. Then, locate the steering column bolt and loosen it. Next, manually adjust the steering wheel to the center position and retighten the bolt. Finally, test drive the car and adjust as needed. If you're not confident in your abilities, it's best to have a professional do this for you.

It's important to have your steering wheel properly aligned to ensure safe driving and to prevent wear and tear on your tires. I recommend taking your Kia Soul to a certified mechanic to have it professionally calibrated. They'll have the necessary tools and expertise to ensure everything is centered and aligned correctly. Don't wait too long to have this done, as it can lead to more serious issues down the road.
