Why is my Kia Rio's engine making a strange noise when I start my car?

Recently, my Kia Rio's engine has been making a strange noise when I start my car. It sounds like a grinding or rattling noise and it only lasts for a few seconds before going away. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

This noise is usually caused by a worn out starter motor or flywheel. You should have a mechanic check it out as soon as possible before it causes any further damage.

Another possible cause of this noise could be a loose or damaged fan belt. You can try tightening or replacing the fan belt to see if it helps.

If your Kia Rio has a manual transmission, the noise could be coming from a worn out clutch. It's best to have a professional diagnose and fix the issue.
