How do I know when to change my Kia Picanto's oil?

My friend told me I should change my oil every 3,000 miles, but the owner's manual says every 7,500 miles. What should I do?

Hi Shane, it's important to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for oil changes. In this case, the manual is correct. The 3,000 mile guideline is outdated and not applicable to newer cars.

Hey Shane, it's always a good idea to check your oil levels regularly and use your car's oil change indicator as a guide. If you're worried, you can always get a quick oil check at an auto shop for peace of mind.

Hi Shane, I recommend sticking to the owner's manual for oil change intervals. Changing your oil too frequently can be wasteful and unnecessary, but waiting too long can cause damage to your engine. Trust the manual!
