It's important to get your car inspected by a mechanic as soon as possible. There could be several reasons for the strange noises, such as a loose belt, failing bearings, or low oil levels.

I had a similar issue with my Kia Rio and it turned out to be a worn-out timing belt. It's recommended to replace it every 60,000 miles or 5-7 years. So, make sure to check when was the last time you replaced it.

It's possible that the knocking noise is coming from the engine's valves. They may need to be adjusted or replaced. I suggest you take your car to a trusted mechanic for a thorough inspection and diagnosis.

If you notice the noise is coming from the engine only when you accelerate, it could be a sign of a bad fuel injector. A dirty fuel system can also cause strange noises. Consider getting a fuel system cleaning to see if it helps.
