Why is my Kia Ceed engine making a ticking noise?

I recently noticed that my Kia Ceed's engine started making a ticking noise. It seems to happen when I start the car in the morning and fades away after a few minutes of driving. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It is possible that your engine is low on oil or that the oil needs to be changed. Check your oil level and schedule a maintenance appointment to have the oil changed if needed.

The ticking noise could also be caused by a faulty valve or lifter. It is best to have a professional mechanic take a look and diagnose the problem.

Another potential cause for the ticking noise could be a loose or worn belt. Have a mechanic check the belts and replace any that are worn or damaged.
