Why does my Kia Stonic's engine make a loud knocking noise?

I recently purchased a Kia Stonic and have noticed that the engine makes a loud knocking noise, especially when accelerating. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

The loud knocking noise could indicate a problem with the engine or its components. It is important to have a mechanic inspect your car to determine the cause of the noise.

Make sure to check the oil level and quality. Low oil levels or dirty oil can cause knocking noises in the engine.

It could also be an issue with the fuel injectors or spark plugs. These should be checked and replaced if necessary.

I have a Kia Stonic and experienced the same issue. It turned out to be a loose engine mount. Have your mechanic check the mounts as well.
