I've noticed an 'EV' button in my Kia Niro but I'm not sure what it does. Can someone explain its purpose and when should I use it?
ReplyHi Alex, the 'EV' button is used to switch between the hybrid and all-electric modes in your Kia Niro. It's only available in the Niro EV model. When pressed, it prioritizes the use of the battery instead of the gasoline engine. Use it when driving short distances or in stop-and-go traffic to save on gas and reduce emissions.
Hey Alex, the 'EV' button is definitely a handy feature. While driving in all-electric mode, your Niro's battery will recharge when coasting or braking, making it a more efficient ride. However, keep in mind that using this mode too often will reduce your overall fuel economy. Use it sparingly to get the most out of your Niro's hybrid system.
Hi there, Alex. As others have mentioned, the 'EV' button allows you to drive solely on electric power. This can be useful in certain situations, such as when driving in a quiet neighborhood or when the weather is particularly hot or cold. Just remember to monitor your battery level and switch back to hybrid mode when needed to avoid running out of charge.
