I recently purchased a Kia ProCeed and I love everything about it except for the fuel consumption. What can I do to improve its fuel economy?
ReplyThe first thing you can do is keep your tires properly inflated. Under-inflated tires can reduce fuel efficiency by up to 5%. Check your tire pressure regularly to ensure they are at the recommended level.
Another way to improve fuel economy is by avoiding idling your car. If you are going to be stopped for more than 60 seconds, it's better to turn off the engine. Idling wastes fuel and can decrease your fuel efficiency.
Try to accelerate and decelerate smoothly. Gradual changes in speed use less fuel compared to sudden accelerations and braking. Practice maintaining a constant speed on the highway to save even more fuel.
