How do I check the transmission fluid in my Kia Sportage?

I recently bought a Kia Sportage and want to make sure all the fluids are at the correct levels. I know how to check the oil and coolant, but I'm not sure about the transmission fluid. Can you guide me through the steps?

Hi Samantha, to check the transmission fluid in your Kia Sportage, start by parking on a level surface and making sure the engine is off. Then locate the transmission dipstick (consult your owner's manual if you're unsure where it is). Pull the dipstick out and wipe it clean with a cloth or paper towel. Then re-insert it and pull it out again. The fluid level should be between the two marks on the dipstick. If it's low, you'll need to add some fluid. Be sure to use the recommended type of transmission fluid for your Kia Sportage.

Hi there Samantha! Checking the transmission fluid in your Kia Sportage is a good idea, as it's an important component for the proper functioning of your vehicle. While you're at it, make sure to check for any leaks or discoloration of the fluid, which can be signs of a bigger problem. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, it's best to have a mechanic take a look.
